This state is called "The Land of 10,000 Lakes". Its proper name is Minnesota. Those who love the outdoors tend to love Minnesota. It has plenty of parks and, as the nickname suggests, lakes. There are always plenty of outdoor activities to participate in such as fishing, hiking, and skiing. More than half of the entire population of the state live in the Twin Cities. The land in Minnesota that isn't part of a big city seems to be left in a very natural state. That's why there are so many parks. It also happens to have a high literacy rate.
